Vic

Senior Trainer

Vic has been involved in gymnastics since attending pre school gymnastics at the age of 10 months. Shethen participated in Womens Artistic, competitively and then changed to National level Teamgym where she competed several times at the British Championships. Vic is qualified in multiple areas of gymnastics, Level 2 Pre-school, Level 3 and working towards Level 4 Teamgym, Level 2 Womens Artistic, and Disabilities gymnastics. She has been a qualified coach since 2008. For the majority of her coaching career she coached a Youth National team and assisted with a Junior National team. Coaching these teams took her to The National Northern Qualifiers and The British Championship Series and various other competitions. Vic also coached with a Display squad who went to the Eurogym in the Czech Republic and has coached Women’s Artistic, Sports Acro, recreational Gymnastics and Pre-School. Vic is also a first aider and welfare officer for the club and has a degree in Exercise, Physical Activity and Health.

Shirley

Senior Trainer

Shirley began gymnastics at the age of 17. She took part in many displays and competitions and represented Britain at two Gymnastraedas. Shirley was Yorkshire Champion at Sports Acrobatics and has been British Veterans Womens Artistic Champion three times and also British Veterans Trampolining Champion. Shirley began coaching in 1976. Her qualifications are in Level 4 Teamgym, Fun4baby, Level 4 Pre-school and Pre-school Trampoline, Level 2 Womens Artistic, Level 2 Sports Acrobatics, Previously she coached a National Teamgym team who gained a bronze medal at the British Championships. She also coached a team who became became British Champions in 2001. Shirley is also a qualified teacher, a first aider and welfare officer for the club.

Kim

Lead Welfare Officer

Kim is a qualified teacher with experience in both main stream and special education.Kim is also a qualified level 3 coach in tumble and level 2 women’s artistic. From a very young age she was heavily associated with gymnastics until her career commitments increased. She was involved in General Gymnastics, Tumble and Display squad. Since her own children have been born Kim is once again supportive of the sport and its commitments. Kim has had experience in welfare matters and child protection throughout her teaching career.
